Chicago skyline from Fullerton and South Lagoon
And it starts up north from Hollywood, water on the driving side
Concrete mountains rearing up, throwing shadows just about five
Sometimes you can smell the green if your mind is feeling fine
There ain't no finer place to be, than running Lake Shore Drive

I think Chicago has one of the best skylines. Truly! It's not just because I grew up here and live here. Chicago is the home of the tall building. It grew up here too. Many of the original tall buildings still stand, ornate beauties standing next to the next generation of glass and steel. Although Sears Tower (now Willis) no longer holds the tallest record, it still holds prominence on the southern side of the skyline, book end to the Hancock on the northern side. You can see the Chicago skyline for miles, ages before you arrive in the city limits. And it goes on, you have some time to appreciate it. One of the best vantage points is from Lake Shore Drive (LSD). Sorry I didn't get a photo from "The Drive," but best not to photograph and operate a vehicle!
